Hobart photographer Sean Fennessy has a knack for capturing people and places 'in-between'.
This in-betweening incorporates his own experience - adventures through Japan, the US and New Zealand - and documents the experience of others.
Two of his projects in particular - 'ghosts' and 'invisible people' - contain a sort of 'absence' that is difficult to articulate. Each image captures both a quiet fragility and a staid strength.
On a less serious note, Sean's also snapped some awesome people in costumes.
We were lucky enough to meet Sean recently and convince him to shoot some stuff for Smith volume two (which is looking pretty sharp if we do say so ourselves). On that note, watch this space.
