Beautiful Shipwrecks

Running your ship ashore is a dangerous, costly and – if you’re a commercial sailor – career-limiting thing to do. It should go without saying, but if you have a ship at your disposal, you should probably do everything in your power to keep it in the water.

Having said that, we have to admit a rusted-out boat stuck on the banks of a tropical beach can be quite nice on the eye. Case in point: this one, in Kandooma Island, in the Maldives. The photo was taken (by drone, we’re guessing) by a British athlete-turned-photographer named Ben Brown. We don’t have a whole lot more info on the ship, but it seems the Maldives are lousy with similar wrecks – you just have to get underwater to see most of them.

It seems Brown’s photos are lousy with similarly gorgeous shots, too. Follow him on Instagram, or check out his daily videos on YouTube.
