Photographers: You Should Totally Submit Your Work to Smith Journal

Monday December 03, 2018 Written by Smith

You don't have to be Ansel Adams to have your photography published in Smith Journal. In fact, all you really have to do is take good photos and get in touch.

That's right: we're on the hunt for photographers with great work to feature in our little magazine. There are no rules dictating what makes a good Smith Journal photo series, but we generally look for works that tell a story, or that at least have a defined theme. We mostly (though not always) prefer documentary-style photography, but we also love portraiture. Occasionally we even go for fiction (though not often).

If you think you might have what it takes – hell, even if you don't have a clue – send us an email with some of your work (lo-res jpeg attachments, PDFs or links to websites are all good) and if we like what we see, we'll be in touch to discuss possible publication. (And yes, we do pay our contributors.) Happy snapping.
