Smith Journal volume four will be on shelves in Australia on Monday and to mark the mag's first anniversary we're trying something new.
We thought a lot about story-telling when putting this volume together, in particular – extending a tale off the page and into the moving image. On Monday we'll release our maiden film to coincide with the new issue. It's called 'The Smokehouse' and it's a collaboration with Melbourne-based filmmakers Commoner and regular contributor Rohan Anderson, the man behind Whole Larder Love.
Anderson worked with us to build a pioneer-style smokehouse in the regional Victorian town of Ballarat for volume four, and the film shows the process first-hand. Check back here at 9am on Monday September 10 and press play. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we've enjoyed working on it.
