Richard Dawkins comes to town

Tuesday April 10, 2012 Written by luke

Fresh from bloodying George Pell on last night's Q&A, Darwinian provocateur Richard Dawkins is appearing in both Sydney and Melbourne to discuss his new book The Magic of Reality.

Perhaps best seen as the synthesis of Dawkins' twin obsessions with evolution and atheism, the book is a family friendly jaunt through how science can be just as much fun as any story involving the ol' magic sky fairy. His appearances, we imagine, will be slightly less family friendly, and will instead be filled with incandescent rhetoric and the latest remarkable, or perhaps magical moments in scientific empiricism.

Richard Dawkins tour dates:

Melbourne: Friday April 13 to Sunday April 15 at the 2012 Global Atheist Convention. Tickets: from $135.00 here.

Sydney: Monday April 16 at the Sydney Opera House. Time: 7.30pm. Tickets: from $35, sold out.

The Magic of Reality is currently available now at independent and major booksellers.
