Ladies and gents: we gathered last week at The Shady Lady in Fitzroy to remember the life of Smith Journal, may it rest in piece (for now). We also launched volume 33, the final issue of our beloved magazine.
As our dear leader, editor Chris Harrigan, put it on the night: it was half-wake, half-celebration. We laughed, we cried (just a little), and we drank freshly brewed beer made especially for us by our mates at Burnley Brewing. It was damn heart-warming to see so many long-time readers and friends of Smith Journal come out to show their support. And special thanks to DJ Lady Love Potion for the tunes.
If you couldn't make it, have a leisurely scroll through the photos below. Then grab your very own copy of volume 33 at your local retailer. You can also visit our online shop to purchase any remaining back issues.
