It wasn’t all fame and glory for the Apollo 11 crew. Like the rest of us after an international flight, the first thing the astronauts had to do when they returned from the moon was fill out a customs form. This customs form, to be precise:
We have to admit seeing moon rocks being declared like pieces of exotic fruit adds a level of bureaucratic farce to the historic occasion (as does listing the point of departure simply as ‘moon’).
At the same time, it probably makes this the most interesting piece of paper work on earth, if not the solar system. Check out the form in more detail at Space.com.
