Have you ever had the soggy cardboard six-pack carrier rip halfway from the bottle shop, smashing your beers on the pavement, along with your hopes and dreams? Never again. Build this fab wooden beer caddy, with instructions from eHow, to protect your precious amber cargo.

Tools you'll need:

  • Circular saw/miter saw
  • Hammer (or a nail gun)
  • Drill with a Forstner bit
  • 220 grit sandpaper
  • Tape measure, ruler, pencil

Materials you’ll need:

  • 19mm pine board
  • 6.5mm ply
  • 19mm dowel
  • Nails
  • Self-tapping screws
  • Wood glue
  • Wood stain
  • Wall-mounted bottle opener

Follow the full instructions here to trim the pieces into shape, connect the internal dividers together, and drill a hole for the dowel handle. Then you just need to glue the bits together, nail it into place, give it a good sand, then finish it off with some wood stain.

Attach the nifty bottle opener, and Bob’s your uncle.
