British designer Kyle Bean's artillery won't blow your face off, but it might blow a little bit of your mind.
His latest project includes dynamite, grenades and bullets made from harmless household materials.
We've long admired Kyle's work, which generally takes a recognisable object and turns its function on its head.
His specialty is hand crafted models and (since graduating in 2009) he has applied his talent to a range of projects that have made us look twice: a chicken made of egg shells, tiny paper houses, a tree of wooden pencils or a laptop constructed from books.
Each is immediately familiar, but the material and intricate construction gives it a new meaning. It's masterful stuff.
