Open for inspection

Ever gone over to a mate's and wished that you could leave with a few choice objects? Melbourne's Open House gives free reign to this whim; objects include furniture by Smith Journal volume one alumni, Greg Hatton.

For one week only Lucy Feagins of The Design Files and ideas people The Project Agency are taking over a house in Fitzroy and filling each room with flash furniture, artwork, books and objects.

There's a bunch of handy people involved, including the aforementioned Mr HattonJoost Bakker, Mr Kitly, Nicholas Jones and Dawn Tan. The team from Supreme will be making coffee on the roof deck and our resident 'How To' guy, Rohan Anderson, will conduct a food demo on the Friday.

Everything in the house will be up for sale, which means that we can go right ahead and indulge our whims (at the mercy of our wallets, of course).

Open House runs from December 1 - 4 at 40 Little Napier Street, Fitzroy. It will also operate online from December 5 - 18.
