What you talking about Willis?

The new 7" by Chicago's Willis Earl Beal and its accompanying video have all the charm of a lost relic found at a yard sale in some remote part of town.

Side A sounds like The Microphones, side B sounds like early Smog. Other songs by Willis have sounded like Robert Johnson, so we're excited to hear the sonic cross-section on his debut (due soon on XL Recordings).

Willis also makes amazing drawings - send him a letter and he'll make you one too. And if you call him on the telephone he'll sing you a song. For real! We don't know how he finds the time.
