Robert Messenger and his collection of almost 1000 typewriters are about to get the recognition they deserve, with a dedicated showcase at the Canberra Museum and Gallery.

At the start of his 1977 masterpiece Annie Hall, Woody Allen tells us a joke. "Two women at a Catskills Retreat are eating dinner. One says, 'boy the food at this place is really terrible'. The other replies, 'I know - and such small portions!'."
