In 2014, Scottish artist Charles Young set himself a challenge to build a tiny paper model every day for year. Then, 365 paper houses, churches, bridges and high-rise apartments later, he did something even more foolhardy: he decided to keep going.

He’s now the proud mayor of Paperholm, a tiny paper metropolis sporting 635 buildings and counting – many of which even have moving parts.
