After a decade in Hobart, Tasmania’s Mona Foma festival is making the move to Launceston.
Those worried that the town’s cosier, supposedly more conservative atmosphere might restrict the festival’s appetite for experimentation needn’t: the 2019 program is as playful and diverse as any from years past, featuring everything from techno to Polish punk and psychedelic Saharan desert rock. Headliners include Neneh Cherry, Courtney Barnett and Underworld, with a cast of more obscure acts, meditation sessions and laser shows running throughout.
The main event runs January 18-20, and we have two three-day passes to give away. To enter, sling us your details.
