If there's one thing you never want to see on a menu it's ocean soup, which is also code for the mass debris in the North Pacific Ocean.
At first glance Mandy Barker's series of photos, Soup, looks like a floating rainbow cosmos. It's actually a heap of junk: plastics, metals and miscellaneous refuse suspended in water.
Salvaged from beaches around the world, the meticulously arrange and photographed trash isn't an exact reading of the extent of the problem; it's an indication of a seriously disturbing situation.
