Jason Lang is a Canadian photojournalist who goes places that other folks don't, or are too claustrophobic to try.

Lang definitely got down, underground in fact, for Smith volume two to photograph workers in La Mina Poderosa (The Powerful Mine) on Cerro Rico (Rich Hill) where around eight million people have lost their lives.

Although he's based in Vancouver, Lang's explored the globe, camera in hand, from the backwaters of India to the backstreets of Buenos Aires. His knack for capturing a person or moment requires an eye for detail that's been fine-tuned by years working for newspapers in Canada.

Travelling as much as he can for as long as he can, Lang has wandered across five continents to date and has "plans to see the rest of the world in due time".
