Say what you will about Melbourne – its capricious weather, its lack of Harbour Bridges, its too-perfectly-laid-out grid system – the place does have a pretty good music scene going for it. Always has, in fact.
To commemorate the city’s long relationship with music, researchers at Monash University and RMIT are hosting Retro Recall, an exhibition about the history of Melbourne music. And they need your help.
Own a rare vinyl, poster, ticket stub, or gig t-shirt? Whatever it is, they want to see it. Artefact owners can book a time to come and meet with the researchers at Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday 25 February. Bring your items – they could end up as part of the exhibit.
