Around six years ago Matt Machine left the nine-to-five game for the middle of nowhere to concentrate on building motorbikes from scratch. Now he's living the dream.
He started out the right way: filling his workshop with tools acquired from an auction at Sydney University, which was refitting its old workshops. Matt bought most of the '40s, '50s and '60s-style lathes, saws and hammers then set up shop in a remote part of NSW.
Although there have been a few mentors along the way, the majority of his impressive body of work is self taught. Successes include bikes of all sorts: Harleys, Nortons, Rudges and this video, which features beautiful footage of the bikes on the open road.
