Scandinavian products are known for their good looks and functional design. Swedish studio People People has come up with a speaker that ticks both these boxes – and a couple more.
While hiding stereo cables can be a fiddly and expensive undertaking, a sea of cords spewing across the floor is an ugly problem too. The designers address the quandary with this one-cord speaker that looks good, sounds good and is good for the environment.
The unit is portable and includes a small rechargeable wifi antenna that jacks into any headphone socket. Bye bye cables. The transparent design means it'll blend in at home like a chameleon, and there's a nice eco-touch with the glass front, which is ordered from the closest glass shop to the customer to reduce shipping and support local businesses.
Even though the final speaker is still in development, in iconic Swedish style it's planned to flat pack for easy shipping and assembly at home. Follow People People on Twitter for updates.
