Its name is British slang for 'donkey', but the Moke's latest incarnation by designer Michael Young is no dud.
Although it's based on the original "no-doors, no-roof, no-worries" vehicle, the new Moke has been entirely redesigned by the Hong Kong-based designer and his team.
The classic detachable roof and round headlights now come with a fuel-injected engine and an ice-cooler in the boot. There might even be an electric eco-Moke in the works...
Moke International discontinued the old car in 1993, but are planning to launch the new Moke on Bondi Beach this summer and hope to release around 1000 units each year.
