Ed's Threads

21 Feb by smith

When 21-year-old Australian stunt rider Ed Bonnin took his own life in 2009, his family and friends decided to do something about it.

By all accounts Ed was a witty, fearless kid who rode like a champion, but he was also dealing with depression. He wasn't alone. One in six Aussie guys experience the illness at some point in their lives; kids in their late teens are particularly at risk.

Designed by his brother Hugo, Ed's Threads is a streetwear label that translates Ed's love of bikes and urban sensibility into tees, jumpers and beanies.

The clothing not only raises awareness about youth suicide, it raises funds for The Nettlefold Foundation, which offers support for people suffering from mental illness and depression.
