Is there a director out there more obsessed with details than Wes Anderson? If there is we'll eat our Team Zissou beanies.
Every one of his films is an immaculately composed retro-hip wonderland. No prop is too small – case in point, these brilliantly designed book covers from The Royal Tenenbaums that the folks at The Criterion Collection have posted on their blog. The care that's gone into what you'd think are insignificant props is insane, and very Anderson-esque. They're such nice looking tomes it's just a shame we can't read them.
