For most artists, releasing one five-CD Christmas-themed album would be enough Christmas for a whole recording career. But not Sufjan Stevens.

Sufjan loves Christmas. So much so he's on the verge of releasing another five-CD Christmas-themed album. Another one.

Silver & Gold: Songs for Christmas, Volumes 6-10 will be out November 13. It features collaborations with members of The National, Arcade Fire and Danielson, amongst many others, and comes with lyric sheets, stickers, posters, temporary tattoos and a colouring book. Because, as you well know, it's not Christmas without a giant stack of useless gifts.

In the lead-up to the release, Sufjan has released a Lego stop-motion animation he made for one of the featured songs, entitled, potentially, "I Am Santa's Helper". Or "You Are Santa's Slave". Either way, it's really quite wonderful.
