Most of us have wished we were Bruce Lee at some point in our lives, and why not? He's the archetypal embodiment of the lethal potential of our physical selves, blended with a unique spiritual mysticism and wisdom. Unfortunately, we still haven't mastered the one-inch punch.
I Am Bruce Lee is a legacy piece co-produced by his daughter Shannon. It helps us get beyond the imagination and understand why Lee, who died at 32, is so iconoclastic. The doco mixes visceral clips of the martial artist in action, archive footage, and interviews with loved ones, philosophers, athletes, actors and filmmakers explaining Lee's impact on their lives and thinking.
The film is currently screening at selected Hoyts and Greater Union cinemas around Oz, and we've got some double passes to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane screenings to give away, thanks to the guys at D and E Entertainment.
